NEW 　VIETNAMESE GOVERNMENT’S ACTIONS FOR THE PRIVATE ECONOMY

Notably, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the role and contribution of the private economy to socio-economic development is limited and has not yet responded to the correct function. The contribution of the private sector to GDP has not yet reached the target and most of it comes from the household business sector (about 30%), the contribution of the private business sector is less than 10% currently.

The objective of the program is to strive that by 2025 there will be about 1.5 million operating enterprises, of which there are about 60,000 to 70,000 medium and large enterprises. Forming and developing strong, potential and competitive private economic groups in the domestic and international markets. Striving to increase the contribution rate of the private sector to GDP to about 55% by 2025.
